Tarzan has left behind the African jungle and is now known as John Clayton, an English gentleman living in London with his wife, Jane. But when King Leopold of Belgium is at risk of losing his interests in Africa, one of his top advisors, Leon Rom, comes up with the idea of luring John back to the jungle where he’ll exchange him for legendary diamonds held by one of the tribes led by Chief Mbonga. When John originally balks at the idea of returning to Africa, he’s soon convinced by American George Washington Williams, who believes Leopold is laying waste to the continents resources and enslaving its people. The two, along with Jane, head across the country, only to find trouble with Rom and his mercenaries. With Jane and men from one of the local tribes captured, John must resort back to his jungle upbringing in order to save them. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for in “The Legend of Tarzan”.

∙ At the beginning of the movie, Rom and his team are ambushed by Chief Mbonga and his tribe. Rom is hiding under two shields during the melee. In the close-up, Rom is holding the shields in a way that covers his head. He even lifts them up when he realizes the tribe has surrounded him. But, as he stands, the shields are by his side and in front of him.

∙ When Jane and John aka Tarzan are in the tree and she agrees to stay with the Kuba during the trip, the close-up view of them as they begin to kiss shows his right hand grabs the back of her head. The scene cuts to a view behind Jane and his right hand moves from her shoulder to her head again. It cuts to an overhead view and his hand isn’t on the back of her head.

∙ George is lagging behind the others when they come to a cliff and stop. He eventually catches up to them and makes the “different kind of wilds” remark. When he says this, his rifle is strapped to his back with the barrel pointed up, behind his left shoulder. It cuts to a quick view of John and the others and then back to George who’s now holding the gun in his right hand with the stock on the ground.

“The Legend Of Tarzan” (2016) stars Alexander Skarsgard, Margot Robbie, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Housou, and Osy Ikhile. It runs 110 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of action and violence, some sensuality and brief rude dialogue.
